Lectures on radiation safety aspects of the handling of open radioactive sources

The training is mandatory for personnel working with unsealed radioactive sources or HASS and should be repeated at least every fifth year. All staff at Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital are welcome to our lectures.

We offer the following training. You will find time, place etc. on Lärtorget:

Unsealed radioactive sources

This training is intended for personnel who work with unsealed radioactive sources in laboratories.

In vivo

This training is intended for personnel who work with unsealed radioactive sources in the clinic, such as a nuclear medicine department.

HASS (High Activity Sealed Sources)

This training is intended for personnel (at the Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital) who work with high activity sealed sources (HASS).

How to register

You have to register on Lärtorget

  • If you are employed by the Hospital and have a HSA-id you will use your electronic id-card (E-tjänstekort).
  • Personnel at Karolinska Institutet (without HSAid) will find radiation safety training under "Öppna kurser och kursanmälningar" on the Lärtorget homepage. To register for a course you will need to have (or create) an account.
