The Swedish Doping Control laboratory
The Swedish Doping Laboratory is one of about 30 laboratories worldwide that are approved by the international organization WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) to perform anti-doping analyses. The laboratory is part of Clinical Pharmacology, located at Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge.
In collaboration with anti-doping organizations and international sports federations, the Doping Laboratory helps to keep sports fair and clean.
The Swedish Doping Laboratory has been accredited by the International Olympic Committee since 1985, by SWEDAC (ISO / IEC 17025) since 2000, and by WADA since 2004. The laboratory primarily conducts routine analyses based on WADA's list of prohibited substances (Prohibited List), but also engages in research and development of new methods for the detection and quantification of doping agents and doping methods.
The Swedish Doping Laboratory also contributes with its research to advance international anti-doping efforts.
