The Swedish Doping Control laboratory

The Swedish Doping Control Laboratory is one of 31 WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency)-accredited laboratories around the world.

The Doping Control Laboratory is a part of the Clinical Pharmacology department at the Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge. In collaboration with anti-doping organization and international sports federations, the Swedish Doping Control Laboratory helps keep sports fair and clean.

The Swedish Doping Control Laboratory has been accredited by the International Olympic Committee since 1985, by SWEDAC (ISO/IEC 17025) since 2000 and by WADA since 2004. Through accredited screening and confirmation methods, the Doping Control Laboratory ensures a selective detection of doping substances.

The laboratory is engaged in research and development of new methods for detection and quantification of doping agents and doping methods. With its broad-ranged research, the Swedish Doping Control Laboratory is in constant improvement and involves itself with the international anti-doping community.
