Vaccination
Vaccination is a method of providing protection against diseases that can be fatal or cause life-long problems.
The general vaccination programme for infants offers protection against ten diseases. In addition to the general vaccination programme, there are specific vaccinations that are recommended to people who are in certain risk groups.
Which vaccinations to give and when to give them is a decision that can be made in conjunction with the baby's doctor. The first vaccination is usually given at the age of three months.
