Danderyd University Hospital
Danderyd University Hospital is one of Sweden's major acute care hospitals as well as the largest maternity hospital of Northern Europe. It is also actively engaged in university medical training and conducts research on the most common diseases.
The primary focus is on internal medicine, cardiology, orthopedics, obstetrics, gynecology, general surgery and urology. Other areas of expertise include complex shoulder and hip surgery, obesity surgery, as well as highly skilled care and rehabilitation of patients with heart conditions.
The hospital is also prominent in cardiology, especially in research concerning the connection between heart attack and kidney failure. Our profound knowledge of the major diseases provides ideal conditions for clinical research in areas such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, stroke and obesity.
Danderyd Hospital has been named Sweden's best for cardiac care and ranks highest when it comes to stroke care. The hospital has a national respiratory center and Sweden's first center for cardiac, renal and diabetic treatment (HND). Capio St Göran’s Hospital

St. Erik Eye Hospital
As one of the world's leading eye specialists, St. Erik Eye Hospital are conducting planned as well as emergency eye care for patients from all over Sweden and abroad. St. Erik Eye Hospital is also a world-class university teaching hospital, and a leader in research, development, education and training in partnership with Karolinska Institutet.
The mission is to offer a comprehensive range of ophthalmic services, under our own direction and via collaborative partners. Specialist areas are cataracts, contact lenses, cornea, glaucoma, medical and surgical retina, neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastic surgery, oncology, orbit (eye socket), pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, refractive surgery and uveitis.
Stockholm South General Hospital
With around half a million patients a year, Stockholm South General Hospital (Södersjukhuset) has the largest emergency care unit in the Nordic region. The health facility also operates one of the largest maternity clinics in Sweden. The high number of admissions ensures consistent refinement of staff skills as well as providing excellent opportunities for clinical research and teaching.
As a measure of success, nine out of ten patients are satisfied with the medical care they receive, as well as the overall treatment at Stockholm South General Hospital.
The hospital is organized into twelve departments: Anesthesia/ICU, Cardiology, Digital Imaging, Disaster & Emergency Medical Centre (DEMC), Emergency Care, Hand Surgery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Orthopedics, Sachs' Children and Youth Hospital, Specialist Care and Surgery.
The Sachs' Children's and Youth Hospital provides care services to children and young adults up to the age of 18. This includes treatment for emergency and acute temporary conditions as well as lifelong illnesses. Sachs' Children's and Youth Hospital emergency unit treats about 17, 600 children every year.
The hospital comprises several clinics, a daycare facility and home care service, as well as emergency and other clinics. A number of other local pediatric clinics are linked to the Sachs' Children's and Youth Hospital.
Stockholm Center for Spine Surgery
Stockholm Center for Spine Surgery opened in 2016 in completely new and state-of-the-art premises with the latest technology. The clinic is centrally located in Stockholm in quiet surroundings. The clinic has eight surgeons with extensive experience in all kinds of spine surgery and they perform approximately 1500 spine surgeries per year. That makes it one of the largest spine clinics in Scandinavia.
Rehab Station Stockholm

Each patient receives a custom-tailored, personalized rehabilitation plan and is surrounded by a handpicked multidisciplinary team with expertise in rehabilitation medicine, neurology and pain management. The Spinalis Clinic at the Karolinska University Hospital is located at Rehab Station Stockholm, and we also have close collaboration with Karolinska Institute, one of the world's leading SCI research centers.
