Testing tomorrow’s digital technology
A test environment for development and quality assurance of digitization in health care. This is the goal of the innovation partnership with Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
In the new hospital building in Solna, the IT infrastructure provides opportunities to link functions, processes and patient flow in a way that has never been done before. Procurement of medical technology for the new building includes multi-year innovation partnerships with various industry participants.
One key factor for success for our innovation partnerships is the ability to effectively test, evaluate and prepare for implementation of the innovations that are developed.
Reflects actual hospital environment
This is why Karolinska Healthcare Center of Excellence and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) have created a highly specialized test bed within eHealth and information and communication technology.
Safer to introduce new solutions
The center's proximity to services – doctors, nurses, technical personnel and patients – is crucial to allow for rapid and efficient identification of new problems, needs and solutions that can be developed, tested and evaluated prior to implementation in the actual hospital environment.
