Sterile technique plays key role in hospitals
The central sterile supply department faces challenges that require optimization of logistics as a whole. Tomorrow’s solutions are being developed in partnership with Getinge.
The department will be responsible for delivering sterile material on time to all 35 surgical suites in Solna. Responsibilities include management of central sterile storage and local surgical supplies.
This expanded mandate requires the center to remain open round the clock and the staff will need to have completely new skills. The staff will therefore need to be doubled from 25 to 50 people.
