Department of Surgery

The Department of Surgery offers general surgical care on an emergency and scheduled basis.

The department is divided into six sections:

  • Section for Endocrine surgery - Ward A23a
  • Section for Breast surgery - Ward A23a and Breast Centre
  • Section for Colorectal surgery - Ward A24a 
  • Section for Upper abdominal surgery - Ward E14
  • Section for Trauma - Ward E14
  • Outpatient Clinic

We also provide education for medical students and carry out research in cooperation with the Karolinska Institute.
