Pediatric Speech Therapy

The Department of Speech and Language Therapy, Karolinska University Hospital, treats pediatric patients at the clinics in Huddinge and Solna, and at Astrid Lindgren Children’s Hospital and the Skärholmen speech therapy clinic.

We see children with problems involving communication, language and speech, as well as oral motor function and difficulties eating and drinking.

Abnormalities within this spectrum may arise from language problems, congenital or acquired injury, hearing impairment, stuttering, or even due to voice problems.

Patients are usually referred by the pediatrician or Child Health Services. We engage in both work-up and treatment interventions throughout this spectrum.
