Every year, the emergency room in Huddinge, at the Astrid Lindgren Children’s Hospital and the emergency room in Solna, treat over 200,000 emergency patients.
Karolinska University Hospital has the largest emergency room operation in the country. This gives us great possibilities to offer high quality treatment for our patients, as well as to promote teaching and research.
The merger has strengthened the University Hospital’s possibilities to develop emergency room healthcare by, for example, creating a joint follow-up and quality assurance system.
