Each year the Occupational Therapy Department at Karolinska University Hospital provides training for occupational therapy students from national and international learning centers such as Stockholm, Umeå, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Greece, Iceland, Spain, and Austria.

Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy
The Occupational Therapy program includes both theoretical studies and practical training. The program’s major subject is occupational therapy (90 credits).
Others subjects include biomedicine (45 credits) and social and behavioral science (45 credits). The program includes a total of 15 different courses leading to a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy.
Advisors
Mentors act as liaisons between theoretical and practical studies. Each field within the Occupational Therapy Department has a coordinating advisor.
A visiting clinical instructor at the Occupational Therapy Department assists the university’s instructors with the students’ education and supports the advisors and students during the clinical portion of their training.
