Pediatric orthopedics at the Astrid Lindgren Children’s Hospital consists of an inpatient ward, a day care unit and a surgical ward.

The department is responsible for pediatric emergencies in the Stockholm area that require inpatient care. It is also responsible for highly specialized pediatric orthopedics in the county, including neuroorthopedics, sports injuries and inherited conditions such as club foot, dislocation of the hip and osteogenesis imperfecta.

The department serves an area comprising 345,000 children up to the age of 14, although it also admits patients from other parts of the country.

Surgery
Pediatric surgery at the Astrid Lindgren Children’s Hospital includes a number of specialties such as pediatric orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, and ear, nose and throat surgery.

AHC
Advanced Home Care assists in round-the-clock home care of children with serious illnesses. Its resources are available in the form of hospital-based caregiving teams with various specialties that visit patients at home.
