The Department of Environment

The Department of Environment is working with the comprehensive environment and sustainability planning of the hospital.  

Karolinska's environmental program 2007-2011 is based on the Stockholm County Council's Environmental Policy Programme "Environmental Step 5".

We have adopted four strategic environmental targets

  • Reducing our impact on the climate
  • Minimize the impact on the environment from our use of pharmaceutucals and chemicals
  • Minimize the impact on the environment from our use of goods and services
  • We shall have environmentally mindful staff
