To support the educational process, Karolinska University Hospital has several different facilities for instruction and interprofessional training. Our Center for Advanced Medical Simulation offers unique training and education for critical care and image-guided interventions. 
The Center for Advanced Medical Simulation also promotes research on human factors and human interaction with machines in health care.
Karolinska Institutet grants academic degrees (MD, PhD) in medicine, is responsible for researcher education, and manages successful clinical research in collaboration with Karolinska University Hospital.

The medical research carried out at Karolinska University Hospital and affi liated teaching sites in the Stockholm region led to the publication of more than 15,000 scientifi c articles between 2001 and 2004.
