Klinisk farmakologi har ett antal forskargrupper som bedriver forskning inom områdena läkemedelsmetabolism, farmakokinetik, hjärt- och kärlforskning, onkologisk farmakologi, astma-KOL, klinisk endokrinologisk farmakologi, läkemedelsepidemiologi samt neuropsykofarmakologi (speciellt smärtfarmakologi och epilepsibehandling).
